I recently finished a Master’s of Journalism from the University of Southern California. I am also a recent graduate from Boston University (May 2017), where I received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in English.
I’ve interned in the Los Angeles bureau of NBC News’ “Nightly News with Lester Holt.” I was the operations manager of the University of Southern California’s Media Center. Before going back to graduate school, I worked freelance as a copy editor and journalist for a content marketing company and as a writer for a local magazine.
My interests include politics (particularly LGBTQIA+ policy and health care), television (I’m an avid fan of reality television and will tell anyone I meet about it), and the environment.
I try to write from the intersection of those things because I believe that things that seem complex (healthcare, politics, law) can be broken done into digestible, understandable and enjoyable content. I believe that you can be intelligent, well-informed and still have fun.
In addition to my work here, I’ve written for Mediaplanet, Westchester Magazine, The Odyssey Online as a staff writer and the BU Buzz as a men’s fashion writer and the City Editor. I interned for Quintessentially Creative in London as an editorial assistant.
If you would like to contact me, you can reach me here, via Twitter, or on my LinkedIn. Feel free to check out my blog, which contains essays, pop culture criticisms, political breakdowns, opinion pieces and news updates.
